The scale is damn well the point, Ascian. I would not have razed Garlemald for Livia's bloodying of the Waking Sands even if I'd held the means to. Because as much as I pity their fanaticism, I know damn well there are those who are worth the breath they draw.

Oh, no, you are quite correct. I have stayed my hand not because of any love for any of you and yours, but because one of your most irritating traits is inspiring hope in people who haven't felt it in an age.
