Quite serious. Hatred is reserved for cold-blooded ruthless murderers and heartless oppressors of peoples weaker than they— which you are neither. Naught you have done has convinced me you are anywhere near resembling such horrible monsters, hero. What you’ve taken for implications of hatred, as I have already explained, was a mere unwillingness to appear weak when met with insults and hostility.
If you truly think that then you know less of me than I thought. My inclination to bite my tongue in the face of the hapless and needy is motivated only by the knowledge I may never have to deal with them again. If that is something you also desire, I'm sure the Scions can see to it.
